Dr. Guy Archambeau

School Board Member

Dr. Guy Archambeau began his first term on the Grants/Cibola County School Board March 3rd, 2015.

Dr. Archambeau has been a teacher, administrator, principal and now board member for GCCS.

He has also served on the Board of Education for the Pueblo of Acoma.

Dion Sandoval

School Board Member

Dion Sandoval has served as President and Secretary-Treasurer of the New Mexico School Boards Association.  Dion is in his forth term and also serves as the NMSBA Representative on the NMAA Board of Directors. 

Dion Sandoval has served on the board for 13 years and represents the District 2 covering the San Rafael area.  Dion is in his forth term of office lasting from February 2013-February 2017.  Mr. Sandoval can be reached at (505)240-1065 and his email is disandoval@gccs.cc. 


Emily E. Hunt-Dailey

School Board Vice-President

Emily E. Hunt-Dailey is the newest member of the GCCS School Board.  She is a graduate of Laguna-Acoma Jr. Sr. High School and fondly remembers the days of climbing the “HILL” to paint the L-A, cheering on the Hawks, Falcons, and J-Hawks. 

She graduated from NMSU with a BBA; from the College of Santa Fe with a B.S. in Secondary Education; and from the University of Illinois with a Master of Education.  In 1998, she was elected as the POL’s Tribal Secretary and served two years.  In 2007, she was the recipient of the Linda K. Estes Giraffe Award and received one of the Governor’s Awards for Outstanding New Mexico Women.

She has devoted herself to the educational success of her students, and strives to provide them every opportunity to succeed.  Her years at Laguna-Acoma have been among her most memorable moments along with time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandson and husband, Lloyd.

Joel Stewart

School Board President

Mr. Stewart was born and raised in Grants. He graduated from Grants High School in 1988 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1992 from Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas.

He has been married to his wife Loree for more than 20 years. They have three children. Kaylee, Keegan and Kami.

Mr. Stewart is the Vice President and Co-Owner of Stewart Brothers Drilling Company. Stewart Brothers Drilling Company performs drilling services throughout the Southwestern United States and employs around 80 people from Grants and the surrounding community.

Mr. Stewart enjoys sports and is an avid supporter of the District's athletics.  He believes academics are primary but also recognizes the tremendous value and wonderful life experiences that can be gained through participation in extracurricular activities.  Success through these activities builds school spirit, character and promotes community, as well.

Richard Jones

School Board Secretary

Richard Jones was born and raised in Grants. He graduated from Grants High School in 1989 and attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. He also attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico majoring in Business.
Richard has been married for nineteen years to Jacqueline and they have four children.  Three are attending school in Grants/Cibola County Schools and one is attending college. Jackie is the GEAR UP Coordinator at Los Alamitos and Grants High School.
Richard is the owner of Enchantment Productions and and announcer for the Professional Bull Riders.
