Some Plain Facts About Public School Funding:

1.  The NM constitution requires "sufficient funding" of our children's public schools;

2.  In school year 1986-87, public schools received 51.6% of the state's general revenues;

3.  In 2008-2009, public schools received only 43.3% of general revenues;

4.  A funding formula task force, using nationally accepted methods, determined that public schools are underfunded by at least 15%
