School Board President:
Richard Jones
District 4
    Richard Jones is in his  second term as a School Board Member beginning in 2011. 

    Richard Jones was born and raised in Grants. He graduated from Grants High School in 1989 and attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. He also attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico majoring in Business.

    Richard has been married for nineteen years to Jacqueline and they have four children. One is attending school in Grants/Cibola County Schools and two are attending college. Jackie is the GEAR UP Coordinator at Los Alamitos and Grants High School. 

    Richard is the owner of Enchantment Productions and and announcer for the Professional Bull Riders.
School Board Vice-President:
Dion Sandoval
District 2
    Dion Sandoval has the longest tenure of any current School Board Member beginning his service in 2001. He has served as President and Secretary-Treasurer of the New Mexico School Boards Association. Dion also serves as the NMSBA Representative on the NMAA Board of Directors.

    Dion Sandoval has served on the board for 13 years and represents the District 2 covering the San Rafael area. Dion is in his fourth term of office lasting from February 2013-February 2017.
School Board Secretary:
Emily Hunt
District 1
    After retiring as teacher for Laguna/Acoma Junior Senior High School, Ms. Emily Hunt-Dailey was elected to the School Board in 2013.

Emily Hunt-Dailey is a graduate of Laguna-Acoma Jr. Sr. High School and fondly remembers the days of climbing the “HILL” to paint the L-A, cheering on the Hawks, Falcons, and J-Hawks.

    Emily Hunt-Dailey graduated from NMSU with a BBA; from the College of Santa Fe with a B.S. in Secondary Education; and from the University of Illinois with a Master of Education. In 1998, she was elected as the POL’s Tribal Secretary and served two years. In 2007, she was the recipient of the Linda K. Estes Giraffe Award and received one of the Governor’s Awards for Outstanding New Mexico Women.

    Emily Hunt-Dailey has devoted herself to the educational success of her students, and strives to provide them every opportunity to succeed. Her years at Laguna-Acoma have been among her most memorable moments along with time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandson and husband, Lloyd.

Ron Ortiz
District 3
    Meet our new board member Ronald Ortiz

    Ronald Ortiz is a former Mayor of Grants, a member of the Cibola General Hospital board. 

    Mr. Ortiz is also a lifelong resident of Grants and a local business man.
School Board Member:
Dr. Guy Archambeau
District 5
    Dr. Guy Archambeau is our newest School Board Member beginning in March of 2015.

    Dr. Archambeau has been a teacher, administrator, principal and now board member for GCCS. 

    He has also served on the Board of Education for the Pueblo of Acoma.
